Hada Labo Koi Gokujyun Perfect Gel is an all-in-one concentrated moisturising gel from Hada Labo, Rohto Mentholatum’s flagship Japanese skincare brand. “Koi” (濃い) means “rich” or “concentrated” in Japanese, distinguishing this variant from the standard Gokujyun line and signalling a higher-intensity moisturising payload. The formula is designed to replace five separate skincare steps — lotion, essence, serum, milk, and cream — in a single application, making it a practical choice for simplified routines without compromising on hydration depth. The formula is free of fragrance, ethanol, mineral oil, and colorants, making it appropriate for sensitive and reactive skin types. The gel texture is thick and viscous on application but absorbs readily, leaving a smooth, non-greasy, lightly occlusive finish.

• Four-type Hyaluronic Acid system — layered moisture at every skin depth: The formula’s defining feature is its four distinct forms of Hyaluronic Acid, each with different molecular weights and skin-interaction mechanisms. Sodium Hyaluronate (standard HA) is a high-molecular-weight molecule that functions primarily at the skin surface, forming a moisture-retaining film that reduces transepidermal water loss and provides immediate hydration and a plumping surface feel.
• Glucosyl Ceramide — ceramide precursor for barrier reinforcement: Glucosyl Ceramide is a glycosylated ceramide derivative that functions as a precursor to free ceramides in the skin. How to Use:

• Apply after cleansing, as a complete skincare step replacing lotion, serum, milk, and cream.
• Scoop a pearl-sized amount (approximately 1–2g) and smooth evenly across the face and neck.
• For intensive care, apply an additional layer to dry areas around the eyes and mouth and leave on for 3–5 minutes as a hydrating mask, then gently press in any excess.
• Can be used both morning and evening. In the morning, follow with sunscreen.
• Can also be layered under a separate moisturiser for very dry skin or in cold, dry weather conditions.
• Fragrance-free and alcohol-free formulation is suitable for daily use on sensitive skin.
