The BEPLAIN Sunmuse Mineral Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ is a reef-safe, 100% mineral sunscreen built for sensitive skin that needs serious sun protection without irritation, white cast, or heavy texture. Its sole UV filter is Zinc Oxide — used at high concentration and in its raw, uncoated form per beplain’s clean beauty commitment. Zinc Oxide provides broad-spectrum coverage across the full UVA and UVB spectrum, making it the most complete single-filter mineral option available. The formula carries no chemical UV filters whatsoever, making it suitable for those who are sensitive to conventional sunscreen actives or who prefer a clean, EWG-certified formulation.

Despite its high Zinc Oxide concentration, the formula achieves a light, comfortable finish through an advanced no-white-cast dispersion system. Polymethylsilsesquioxane — spherical silicone microspheres — helps ZnO particles distribute evenly and reduces their tendency to reflect light as a white film. Boron Nitride, a hexagonal crystal powder with a silky, talc-like texture, further disperses light, absorbs excess sebum, and contributes a smooth, mattifying feel. Triethoxycaprylylsilane coats ZnO particle surfaces through silanisation, preventing aggregation and making the particles far more dispersible within the formulation. Finally, Mica introduces soft, diffused light-reflection that delivers the subtle brightening and 0.5× tone-up effect the brand highlights — giving skin a naturally luminous appearance without a noticeable tint.

The texture system is built on a water-in-silicone (W/Si) emulsion — a sophisticated format commonly used in high-performance mineral sunscreens because it allows ZnO particles to be suspended evenly in the silicone phase, producing a lightweight, breathable finish that avoids the greasiness of traditional cream sunscreens. The volatile silicones — Disiloxane and Methyl Trimethicone — evaporate cleanly after application, leaving behind a thin, breathable film.
