The BEPLAIN Mung Bean Pore Tight-Up Serum is a daily pore-refining treatment that addresses enlarged, sagging, and congested pores from multiple angles — tightening pore walls from within, controlling sebum at the source, and cooling the skin surface simultaneously. Dispensed as a firm gel, it transforms into a lightweight, watery essence on skin contact, absorbing instantly without heaviness or residue. The formula has been clinically tested for improvement across seven distinct pore parameters: pore number, volume, depth, area, surface texture, horizontal pores, and vertical pores — making it a genuinely comprehensive pore care serum rather than a surface-level treatment.

The formula is built around three brand-proprietary complexes. The first is Mung Bean Peptide™ — beplain’s signature active developed by cold-processing enzyme-treated, protein-rich mung beans without heat, preserving the bean’s naturally cooling properties and minimising protein denaturation during the low-molecularisation of its peptides. The resulting peptide complex targets pore elasticity: pores that have stretched and lost their ability to contract are supported by these peptides, which work at a deeper dermal level to restore elasticity and structural tone.

The second complex is POMEG-PORE™, beplain’s proprietary pomegranate-based pore and sebum control system. Its primary component, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Flower Extract, is exceptionally rich in polyphenols — particularly ellagitannins and punicalagins.

The third component is cooling Mung Bean Extract — represented in the formula at 2,000ppm as Vigna Radiata Seed Extract and additionally as Phaseolus Radiatus Seed Extract (the older botanical synonym for the same plant, included for its concentrated bioactive polyphenol, polysaccharide, and peptide content).

Glyceryl Glucoside is one of the most functionally interesting humectants in the formula. A molecule naturally found in plants and microorganisms adapted to drought and osmotic stress, it activates the skin’s endogenous aquaporin-3 water channels.

Menthoxypropanediol delivers the formula’s characteristic cooling sensation on application — a stable, non-irritating menthol derivative that provides a refreshing effect without the sensitivity risk of direct menthol.
